About the writers: Jonah Raskin is newly retired from teaching at Sonoma State University and the author of two new books: Marijuanaland: Dispatches from an American War and Rock 'n Roll Women: Portraits of a Generation. Jean Hegland is the author of two novels, Into the Forest, and Windfalls, as well as a book of creative non-fiction, The Life Within: Celebration of Pregnancy.
